What the selected answers mean — October 14, 2026

Our retrospective analysis, not official hints. These explanations discuss the selected examples; they do not establish official acceptance or scores for alternatives. The linked reveal records the official selection; the independent Replay answer pool may use a different scope.

  1. Find a valid example in this category: app or website for writing documents or taking notes.

Selected answer: Bravo. Bravo was a Xerox Alto text editor and document-writing program documented in early Xerox software materials. It is a historical editor, not the modern television network or a generic expression of praise. The category intentionally includes plain-text editors, note tools, wikis and historical word processors, while a file format, storage service or ambiguous product name alone does not establish a writing application. The Computer History Museum's Bravo documentation identifies the editor.

  2. Find a valid example in this category: language that’s the most spoken in at least one country in the Americas..

Selected answer: Dutch. Dutch qualifies through Suriname, where census evidence identifies Dutch as the leading national language measure used for the reviewed answer. Being an official language is not enough by itself: the category asks for the most spoken, household or language-competence language in an American country. That is why French is not automatically accepted for Haiti or Canada, and why distinct creoles remain separate languages. The Suriname census table is the local evidence.

  3. Find a valid example in this category: current capital of a state or province anywhere in the world.

Selected answer: Ngerbeched. Ngerbeched is a hamlet in Koror State, Palau, containing the Koror State Capitol. A Palau government map and a September 2026 state notice place the current state seat there. It is not Ngerulmud, Palau's national capital. The category requires a current capital or seat of a subdivision formally called a state or province, with temporary or shared official seats allowed when documented. See the Koror State hamlet notice.

  4. Find a valid example in this category: current or former NBA, MLB, Premier League or NFL team.

Selected answer: Oorang Indians. The Oorang Indians were a National Football League team that played in 1922 and 1923, based in LaRue, Ohio. The team was unusual for being owned by the Oorang Kennels and featuring Jim Thorpe. It qualifies because the category includes former NFL teams; the answer is not a modern franchise and should not be treated as evidence of current NFL membership. The Pro Football Hall of Fame account confirms the history.

  5. Find a valid example in this category: character from the Cars movies.

Selected answer: John Lassetire. John Lassetire is a crew-chief character in Cars 2. The spelling is deliberately Lassetire, a vehicle-themed fictional name, while John Lasseter is the real filmmaker and voice connection recorded in production material. The category asks for characters from the three theatrical Cars films; actors, toy-only variants and television or game-only characters are separate and do not qualify. Disney's Cars production record is part of the reviewed evidence.

  6. Find a valid example in this category: type of powder.

Selected answer: Lycopodium powder. Lycopodium powder is made from the dry spores of clubmosses and has been used as a fine, highly flammable dust in historical demonstrations and as a specialty product. It is a named powder category, not the whole plant or a coarse seed. The answer is a trivia identification only; the reviewed evidence does not provide handling or use instructions. Sigma-Aldrich lists the product as lycopodium powder.

  7. Find a valid example in this category: Name something you shake before using it.

Selected answer: Shake 'n Go. Shake 'n Go is a Fisher-Price line of motorized racers whose instructions tell the user to lift and shake the car before setting it down to race. The category is example-based: one documented product instruction is enough for the product type, but it does not mean every toy or every hair-extension product with the same phrase should be shaken. The Mattel instructions state the operation.
